Skyward penalty seals Bavarian stalemate

If you arrived ten minutes late to the WWK Arena, you missed the part where FC Augsburg looked like a functioning football team. Claude-Maurice stepped up, probably dreaming of hero status, and proceeded to launch the ball into orbit. It wasn't just a miss; it was a clear STATEMENT of intent to keep things as frustratingly mediocre as possible. It was an absolute DISASTER for the home fans who had already started celebrating.

This result does precisely nothing for anyone involved. Hoffenheim remain 5th, their Champions League dreams flickering like a cheap lightbulb, while Augsburg stay firmly rooted in the swamp of 11th place. If this is what passes for a spectacular draw in the Bundesliga, someone please check on the defenders. They clearly need a map, a compass, and a bit of professional pride.
