Stamford Bridge's Seven-Goal Circus
Stamford Bridge, a venue often associated with tactical masterclasses (or spectacular implosions, depending on the season), delivered a proper rollercoaster on Saturday. Chelsea, in their perpetual quest for something resembling consistency, went toe-to-toe with Brighton in a Premier League clash that had more twists than a pretzel factory. Seven goals, folks. SEVEN! If you blinked, you probably missed three, and possibly a defender throwing their hands up in despair.
The final whistle blew, leaving Chelsea victorious with a rather breathless 4-3 scoreline. For a team that sometimes struggles to hit the net twice in a month, finding the back of it four times against a decent Brighton side must feel like winning the lottery. They started strong, built a commanding lead, and then, in true Chelsea fashion, decided to make things UNNECESSARILY INTERESTING. Itβs never simple, is it?
