Blackburn Rovers delivered a masterclass in how to dispatch a struggling opponent, leaving Millwall wondering if they’d accidentally wandered onto a training pitch for the opposition. Ewood Park was treated to a rather spectacular 3-1 victory for the home side, a result that felt less like a contest and more like an instructional video on clinical finishing.

Their attacking players looked sharp, their midfield industrious, and their defence, when occasionally called upon, largely untroubled. Millwall did manage to pull one back, a minor consolation goal that felt less like a comeback and more like a brief, polite interruption to Blackburn’s victory parade. It merely served to add a touch of drama to the scoreline before Rovers reinstated their two-goal cushion, sealing a commanding 3-1 win.

This result is a SHOT IN THE ARM for Blackburn Rovers, propelling them further up the Championship table and injecting a much-needed dose of confidence into their playoff aspirations. For Millwall, however, it’s another grim reminder that their season is rapidly turning into a battle for anything but promotion. They’re now firmly entrenched in the murky waters of mid-table obscurity, looking nervously over their shoulders at the teams below. If they don't find some answers soon, their campaign could quickly go from disappointing to downright disastrous. Blackburn, on the other hand, can toast a job WELL DONE.
