Well, that was certainly… a football match. If they perform like this against any side with even a modicum of ambition, they're in for a RUDE AWAKENING down the line.

Cape Verde, on the other hand, might have lost, but they won respect. They showed incredible fight, discipline, and no small amount of skill. They exposed Argentina's vulnerabilities and proved that, even against the titans, a small nation can make a BIG statement. They’ll stay put in the lower echelons of the table, but they’ve sent a clear message: underestimate them at your peril. Argentina, meanwhile, gets the crucial three points to consolidate their position in the standings, but the performance will leave coaches and fans alike with more questions than answers.
